the Isle of Capris "Community Aces" Stream Team
April 11, 2013 - Franklin Island C.A., Boonville MO
It was a bone chilling grey Spring day on the Big Muddy. Things were starting to turn green and we had the opportunity of hooking up with 2 different groups of people excited to get out on the river for a service day clean-up.
After a brief introduction about Missouri River Relief and what we do, and the watershed we all live in, it was time to layer up and board the boats! Two shifts of Central Methodist University students worked in the morning and afternoon. In the afternoon, a group of Isle of Capris "Community Aces" Stream Team joined in to learn more about how these river clean-ups work. River Relief had recently just met with them to discuss some types of activities they could do as a Stream Team in Boonville.
It never really warmed up that day, but we raked in a massive amount of trash with just 40 people, 2 shifts and 2 boats. Check out the results and photos below!

Our other group got an even bigger load! Check out that tractor tire.
Second group of Alpha Gamma Psi ladies
The "Community Aces" Isle of Capris group... cleaning up across from their place of employment!
The reading of the message! Good times.
Dana spotted this up in the woods as we almost drove by it! This just happened to be where we also found the giant tractor tire. Good work!
When a tire is as big as you are... its not as easy to move as it looks!
